Skittish Shadow is a type of Shadowbeast encountered within the Hull Breach during the Nether activity.

Gameplay

The Skittish Shadows can be found deep within a cavern in the Hull Breach where they will remain immobile. To acquire the secret chest concealed within this location, the Guardian must remain crouched and move slowly across the cavern while avoiding eye contact with the Shadows. The Shadows must become aware of the Guardian's presence or they will teleport away and be replaced. The Guardian must move left around the first pillar and right around the second pillar. Upon completing all of these steps, the Guardian can approach an Orb of Darkness to materalize the secret chest and a boon.
