*Many shotguns make use of six o'clock hold iron sights, where a target is sighted just above the barrel of the weapon instead of through a pair of points mounted on top of the barrel, as in other iron sights.
*For gameplay reasons, the low effective range and pellet spread of shotguns in ''Destiny'' is greatly exaggerated compared to reality, as a real shotgun would need to have a comically short barrel to come anywhere close to the range and spread of shotguns in-game.
