The Sand Eaters arrived in Sol sometime after the [[Collapse]]. They would set up bases at the [[Exclusion Zone]], [[Scablands]], and [[The Barrens]] on [[Mars]].
===Search for the Black Garden===
[[The Guardian]] would arrive at the [[Exclusion Zone]] on [[Mars]], to search for an entrance to the [[Black Garden]]. The Legion would be unable to defeat the lone Lightbearer, who would kill [[Bracus Tho'ourg]]. Later the Sand Eaters would attempt to take control of the [[Buried City]] from the [[Virgo Prohibition]]. However they would be stopped by the Guardian who would kill [[Bracus Tha'aurn]] and weaken their hold over the city.

==Trivia==
*The Sand Eaters were originally described as guarding the [[Dust Palace]] in early promotional material.
*The Sand Eaters are the first Legion (and 1 of 5 Legions) that operates without a [[Primus]], the other 4 are [[Dust Giants]], [[Ice Reapers]], [[Siege Dancers]], and the [[Broken Legion]]. 
**However, [[Umun'arath]] was the Primus of All Legions, meaning she possibly was the Primus of Sand Eaters, Dust Giants, Ice Reapers, and Siege Dancers.
*The Sand Eaters and the [[Dust Giants]] are the only two legions in which their legionaries wear re-breathers on their helmets. Given that the rest of the scout legions also operate in the same harsh environments of Mars, it is unknown why they require extra filtration.
**A possible reason of this, is that the Sand Eaters and the Dust Giants are mostly in front of battles or in more conflict than the rest of the other legions.
