The Precursor Nexus Hydras are a variant of Ultra Hydra belonging to the Nessian Schism. They are encountered in the Spire Integration Heroic Public Event and the revamped version of the Inverted Spire Strike.

Gameplay

Spire Integration

A Precursor Nexus Hydra appears as part of the Hold Off Elite Vex Heroic Public Event in the Hallows. When the event is triggered, the Hydra will appear, leading large amounts of Architectors and frenzied Integrators. It will focus on firing upon participating Guardians, bombarding them with its Aeon Maul and distracting them from the other sacrificial units. The Integration Mind has no particular gimmicks, can be destroyed through volumes of fire and will not reappear again once it is taken out.

The Inverted Spire

These Hydras appear at the excavation camp after all the blocking plates have been disabled, blocking the fireteam from accessing the drill. They have no particular mechanics and can be slain with volume of fire.

Trivia

• Despite being called Precursor Nexus Hydras, these Hydras are not from Sol Primeval, nor do they use their designs.
