The Portal Keeper is a type of Hive Wizard defending a set of Hive portals located on a cliffside in the Landing. They can be encountered during the Overthrow activity.

Gameplay

A Portal Keeper can be found hovering over a cliff in the Landing. It bears an Immunity Shield that renders it invulnerable to any damage. Throughout the encounter, the Keeper will summon hordes of Hive reinforcements for assistance. To break the Keeper's shield, the Guardian must eliminate a glowing Revenant Knight that drops a relic upon its death. The Guardian must pick up this relic and jump into the portal where they will be transported back to the cliffside and will obtain the Shield Breaker buff. This buff lasts for 15 seconds and allows the Guardian to shatter the Keeper's Immunity Shield. Once the first Keeper has been eliminated, a second Keeper will spawn on the opposing side. This same process must be repeated to defeat the second Keeper. Defeating both Portal Keepers will summon a Portal Lord that must be defeated by undergoing the same shield-breaking mechanic.
