The Portal Lord is a type of Hive Wizard defending a set of Hive portals located on a cliffside in the Landing. They can be encountered during the Overthrow activity.

Gameplay

A Portal Lord appears on the cliffside of the Landing after both Portal Keepers have been eliminated. It bears an Immunity Shield that renders it invulnerable to any damage. Throughout the encounter, the Portal Lord will summon hordes of Hive reinforcements for assistance. To break the Lord's shield, the Guardian must undergo the same shield-breaking mechanics of the Portal Keepers. The Guardian must eliminate a glowing Revenant Knight that drops a relic upon its death. They must then acquire this relic and jump into a nearby portal where they will be transported back to the cliffside and will obtain the Shield Breaker buff. This buff lasts for 15 seconds and allows the Guardian to shatter the Lordķs Immunity Shield. Defeating the Portal Lord completes the encounter and grants the Guardian progress points.
