Gate Warden Retainers are a Major variant of the Taken Knight, appearing within the Impasse of the Pale Heart.

Gameplay

Gate Warden Retainers are encountered within the Impasse during a possible Public Event during Overthrow: The Impasse. Hrisk, Subjugator of Freedom or a Viscera of Nezarec will be enclosed in an Resonant shield with a Ghost they're attacking. To free the Ghost and defeat the boss, players will need to hunt three Gate Warden Retainers and kill them to obtain their Resonant Charges to disable the shield. The Wardens are trackable via following the resonant lights emanating from the Pyramid Scale above the shield.
