Destiny 2[edit]

Trivia[edit]

  • The Payback's appearance in Destiny bears a similarity to the Iron Banner Hand Cannons, Timur's Lash and Finnala's Peril. However the gun is entirely red with a painted five-leaf clover on it.
    • In Destiny 2, the gun remains almost the same but with several graffiti markings across the barrel along with the drawn five leaf clover on it.
    • Interestingly, in Destiny, The Payback was a Low Impact Hand Cannon that was fast firing. Meanwhile Timur's Lash was a High Impact Hand cannon but fired slower while Finnala's Peril was a balanced Mid-Impact Hand Cannon. In Destiny 2, The Payback had taken the Adaptive Frame archetype, becoming more moderate and balanced compared to its previous iteration.
  • The Payback originally belonged to AJ, the Relentless before he used The First Curse and is implied the gun originally came from Cassoid that he used during his time in the Praxic Order due to the dialogue between AJ and Aunor Mahal in its lore tab.
