Overview[edit]

As an intermediary between a Centurion and their Legionnaires amongst the vast files in a Cabal Legion lies a Decanus. Often a Cabal soldier with no armor kit that distinguishes them from their peers, they are in charge of keeping the soldiers in line and maintaining the vast trenchworks of their vast firebases or in the clearing of enemy entrenchments. With developments among the Neon Wraiths, however, their roles have now been expanded upon, granted exoskeleton fit armor and new weaponry, as well as an integrated comms suite ostensibly connected to their Centurion superiors, the Decani now served as a squad's foremost minelayer and suppressor unit, with this modified role also finding itself among the ranks of other elite legions in Sol.

Gameplay[edit]

While a slightly less resilient variant of a Colossus, the abilities of a Decanus can make them a far more dangerous opponent, if not, one that can complement a squad and their counterpart far more efficiently. The Decanus now brings to bear a new heavy weapon, the Hailstorm Cannon, which can spit out a massive volley of bouncing void projectiles at a rapid rate; essentially, the Decanus is equipped with a heavy automatic shotgun with bouncing projectiles. The Decanus can also fire their weapon as they move, making them a particularly more dangerous opponent. As opposed to a physical missile or a disruptive volley of blinding missiles, the Decanus can instead fire off a small volley of rocket-mounted, spike-fit mines that will seek out either an open target or terrain between them and their targets. Upon landing at their impact site, the spike will bury itself into the ground and the mine will prime. Upon getting close to these mines or if stuck with one, the mine will violently detonate and unleash a disruptive wave that will weaken and suppress their opponents abilities.
