The Darkshroud Wyvern is a Vex Wyvern that serves as the final major obstacle of the Defensive Darkness encounter, where their elimination finally lifts the shroud of darkness over the Hall of Onyx.
Gameplay[edit]
After depositing 6 sparks of light into the three wells, the Darkshroud Wyvern will arrive in an attempt to eliminate the Guardian intruders into the Acropolis. The Darkshroud Wyvern behaves much like it's fellow Ultra Wyvern counterpart, Tacitas, Subjugated Mind, where it will use it's high durability to press into targets with their 
Warp Lance and smash into them with a 
Gravity Slam, with the additional ability to unleash an AoE ground slam against nearby targets. Uniquely, however, the Darkshroud Wyvern will unleash a pulse that will afflict all Guardians in the open with the Marked by the Void debuff, slowly covering their screens in darkness before finally killing them; stepping into one of the grown Wells of Light will cleanse the debuff from the Guardians. Upon the elimination of these highly durable Wyvern units, the veil of darkness in the arena will truly lift and the Defensive Darkness encounter will finally end.
