Clauda Miraan is a Dredgen Warlock who was captured by the Hive and tortured as a source of power for a Hive forge under the guise of Ir Gohl, Forger of Sorrow.[1]

Biography[edit]

Years ago, Clauda came to the Moon seeking the Weapon of Sorrow known as Cull's Shadow in an attempt to follow in the footsteps of the Shadows of Yor.[citation needed] However, she would be captured by the Hive and tortured by being repeatedly killed by Ir Gohl, Forger of Sorrow. Her Ghost, now corrupted and in league with the Hive, assisted in Clauda's torture by endlessly resurrecting her just long enough to suffer and die again at Ir Ghol's hands, generating copious amounts of Soulfire for their forge so that they may create an Arsenal of Sorrow.[citation needed]

Years after, during the Guardians' celebrations, the Guardian would investigate Totality Division activity, leading them to the secret Forge of Sorrow where the Hive's stockpile of soulfire had been kept. After recovering Cull's Shadow,[1] the Guardian discovered the heart of the forge and witnessed firsthand Clauda Miraan being killed and revived over and over.[citation needed]

After Ir Ghol's defeat and death, the Guardian inspected Claudia's levitating body. After which, she collapsed, dying once again, and her Ghost flees, transmatting her body away as it does. Aunor Mahal seldom pities a Dredgen, but hoped that Clauda could find peace after years of endless torture.[citation needed]

Trivia[edit]

  • Aunor speculates that Clauda Miraan may have been one of Dredgen Bael's earliest recruits,[citation needed] although it is unknown when he could have possibly contacted her considering she had been missing for several years and Bael's coercion by VI was relatively recent, and Bael himself did not discover the Hive forge that had already been consuming Clauda until only weeks at most before the events of the exotic mission in which she is discovered and freed by the Guardian.
    • It is more likely she was a previously unknown member of the Shadows of Yor and went missing before she could be personally killed by Shin Malphur.
  • Clauda notably wears the Nezarec's Sin helmet with the Afraid of the Dark ornament and the robe from the Corrupting Echo Suit.
