As The Crow Flies is an Exotic Quest in Season of the Hunt. It is the prelude to unlocking the Hawkmoon and the Harbinger Exotic Mission.

1. Paranoia[edit]
Spider is concerned someone or something has infiltrated his lair. Search the area for signs of this mysterious intruder.
Spider felt a presence in his lair, an ephemeral thing that was perhaps nothing more than a waking dream. But, not all dreams are so ethereal.

- "My lair is a sanctum, Guardian. A space where I alone hold dominion. I don't like the idea of someone or something deciding it wants to eavesdrop, or worse…""

As Spider summons you back in his sanctum, you can hear the greed in his voice. It seems he has important information for you… and information is always valuable.
2. The Dreaming[edit]
Search the system for the second paracausal feather.
A disembodied voice echoes from the feather, singing to your mind as though the thoughts were your own.
- Find the Second Feather
- "I'm… soaring over trees, storm clouds at my back. There's… there's buildings crumbling into rust and ruin. I stop, briefly, on a vantage point overlooking… something. A grove, perhaps? It's hard to remember."

3. The Neverwas[edit]
Search the system for the third paracausal feather.
A disembodied voice echoes from the feather, singing to your mind as though the thoughts were your own.
- Find the Third Feather
- "I'm… somewhere. I know that's not helpful. It's a ruin, on Earth, I think. I'm flying, and there's these… towers and… ships? I land on a broken, concrete pillar, and I see… myself? But it's not me. I don't think it ever was. I'm saying words I've never said, and… the Guardian is there. Yes, that one."

4. The Cursed[edit]
Search the system for the fourth paracausal feather.
A disembodied voice echoes from the feather, singing to your mind as though the thoughts were your own.
- Find the Fourth Feather
- "No, not Earth this time. I was home. It was those gates. I had—I don't know, a sense of dread? Vertigo set in, and I plummeted from the sky like I lost control of my wings. My heart hurt—ached—and I felt so much guilt and… and shame. Regret. No, I don't remember anything else."

5. The Purpose[edit]
Search the system for the final paracausal feather.
A disembodied voice echoes from the feather, singing to your mind as though the thoughts were your own.
- Find the Final Feather
- "Yes, again. It was like coming full circle, flying through those claustrophobic corridors. I could hear their horrible howling in the distance, in the dark. It was just like when we were there. Except… I was alone. No one to save. I know, Glint. I know."

6. Stalk Thy Prey[edit]
You have tracked down five paracausal manifestations across the system, each of which emanates with a fragment of Crow's voice. Ghost recommends you talk to Crow and find out what he knows.
The voice emanating from the feather is clear now. It's Crow's. Go to the Tangled Shore and speak with Crow.

Crow looks distracted when you approach; his eyes hold a distant and far-away quality. But when he sees you, there is a dawning look of recognition, and for a moment it's as if he sees you with new eyes. But it isn't the look of an enemy. It's the look of a friend. A look of trust…
