| An [[Exo]] named Lane-8 was traversing through the Infinite forest after the events of ''[[Curse of Osiris]]'' when his Ghost was intrigued by an unstable simulation. When Lane approached it, he was immediately sucked through the portal. He fell a great distance and was downed.

| After being revived by his Ghost, Lane-8 was suddenly surrounded by [[Vex]]. His Ghost was obliterated by a [[Torch Hammer]] from an approaching [[Minotaur]]. He then saw Pyton. Before Pyton could kill him, Lane-8 sucked his conscience through the Mind, and fusing it with him. From that day forward, he was known as Pyton, Eternal Mind.

| Pyton escaped the Forest and made his way to the Tower, killing the enemies [[Guardians]] would kill, such as the remnants of the [[Cabal]], [[Fallen]], and [[Hive]]. Pyton would only attack the [[Sol Divisive]] of the Vex.

| When Pyton made his way to the Tower, he was immediately confronted by Zavala who, after being informed by the Mind, Pyton is a fuse of Lane-8 and the Mind, known by the Vex as the Unstable Mind. It can also communicate with the Infinite Forest and can sometimes create new realities. He then had extensive conversation with the [[Vanguard]], which he documented in a series of books known as the [[Eternal Struggle]]. He now resides in a secret structure of [[The Last City]] known as Bunker_PEM.
