The Titan is a class of Guardian. They are equipped with suits of powered armor that boost their strength and endurance. Titans utilize their strength and skill with firearms to kill their enemies.

Titans have long honed the power of the Traveler, passing these skills to each new generation of warrior. Their strength gave birth to the City, and they have taken a blood oath to ensure it will always stand strong. The Wall surrounding the City was built by the first Titans, who also perished defending it.

Abilities

All Guardians have certain abilities, some of which are granted by the Traveler, others which may appear more mundane in nature. All Guardians have a "grenade-type" ability whose effects vary by class., while the Titan's double-jump ability has been demonstrated during gameplay. All these abilities can be upgraded over time., and can be used in competitive PvP.

The Titan has 3 known special abilities.

• Fists of Havok: One of the powers of the Titans is an electric area-of-effect ground punch.

• Another ability witnessed during gameplay is a grenade. (The type and effects of this grenade are currently unknown as it was thrown toward a point behind the POV of the Warlock, with the sound of the explosion being somewhat muffled by the developers' commentary)

• Yet another ability witnessed during gameplay is a double-jump. This ability is used while the Titan is in mid-air, increasing their jump height and distance with a quick burst of thrust.

• Another currently unnamed ability in which the Titan casts a shield around itself.

Trivia

• The armor worn by the Titans is similar in overall design to the MJOLNIR powered armor worn by Spartan supersoldiers in the Halo series. The SPARTAN-II Program's creator, Dr. Catherine Halsey, considered calling the project "Titan" before settling on the final name.
• The T-shaped visors of some Titan helmets are reminiscent of the Corinthian-style helmets used by the ancient Greeks including, among others, the Spartans.
• I thought about screwing this article up, but I have too much respect for the Titans
