Taken Anomalies are Elite Taken Centurions encountered in the Altars of Summoning, in service of Axsaeniia, Reverent of the Witness. These Centurions are identified by a glow around their bodies, and drop Taken Essence that has to be used to take down the Tormentor's shield.
