Jovians

The Jovians (aka the Outer Worlds) is the collective name for the planets beyond the Asteroid Belt. This includes Jupiter, Saturn, and so forth. Humanity colonized these worlds in the Golden Age, but very little is known about them. As they are much farther away than the Reef, individual Guardian ships cannot travel to them to investigate. What little is known about the Jovians comes from Xûr, Agent of the Nine, a native of the Jovians.

As Xûr indicates, the inhabitants of the Jovians were once Human, but were radically transformed, much more so than the Awoken. They speak of being made of cells with the memories of the past, and coming from the dust. The Light can cause pain to them. They are ruled by The Nine.
