Barrier Taken Ogres are former Hive abominations that have been Taken and granted additional power by the Darkness.
Gameplay
These Ogres will typically assail their opponents from a distance, pushing them backward with their Rotten Surge. When they have been damaged enough, they will envelop themselves in a spherical barrier and quickly regenerate a significant portion of their lost health, while still being able to fire at players. To prevent this, it is recommended that seasonal Anti-Barrier mods be equipped in order to shoot through their shield and stun them temporarily, leaving them open to damage.
