Ether Ritual

Ether Ritual is a Public Event that occurs in both Savathûn's Throne World and the Dreaming City. Prior to the vaulting of the Tangled Shore, this event also took place there.

In this event, Guardians must stop the Scorn from completing an Ether extraction from a Servitor. A Dredge Chieftain must be defeated in each of the three oncoming waves, one at a time. Once all three Chieftains have been defeated, an Abomination will spawn. Defeat it to complete the event. The heroic version is triggered by shooting down all the ether clouds that come from the smaller Servitors before they reach the central large Servitor in between each wave. Instead of the Abomination, Guardians will face a reanimated version of Elykris, the Machinist.

In Savathûn's Throne World, the Ether Ritual is the same in the Tangled Shore and the Dreaming City but has some aesthetic changes. Rather than three mini Servitors, the concentrated Ether spawns from three small Pyramid-esque structures. Additionally, the boss that spawns for the Heroic version is a Chieftain named Ksimikaa the Painsmith.
