I was just getting to that. So, the Cabal were after a Warmind, which is one of the most powerful artificial intelligence units built during the Golden Age. They were built for strategic warfare purposes (ie. Rasputin's space weapons), and so that means if the Cabal were to actually control one, then...uh-oh. We'd be in big (and I mean, BIG) trouble.

The Cabal are going to do everything they can to work it to their advantage. They released the Psion Flayers to "dig around in the central A.I.'s cortex" and find something valuable, but then we accessed the cortex controls to make sure that they couldn't do it, and then we killed the Flayers. However, it is likely there are going to want to look through there again.

Ah, yes. Seems like we're making good progress with the story here. Also, there's a boss concept I posted on the General Discussion forums, which represents the main antagonist for this storyline. I suggest you check it out.

No problem! Just wondering how that was possible, ha.

...How did you just post on my board as an IP?

Please try again. If it doesn't work, then the error message will be more detailed this time. Can you copy all of the error text and send it to me?

I just made an edit to the Destiny page and it worked. What page are you trying to edit?

I see your point with the Fallen, but that doesn't mean that the Cabal won't look for something on Earth. The Fallen have stealth tech, which the Cabal may see as something they could use to their advantage.

As for the Hive, the Hellmouth isn't the only place of importance, There's also the Shrine of Oryx, the Temple of Crota, etc. Just a thought.

And as for the Vex, yeah, something like that. And then maybe they use the Vex tech to rewrite history themselves.

Yes, albeit with limited access. There's a Vex Gate in Meridian Bay that the Cabal have tried to penetrate. They've penetrated through the cognition mesh, but they have more to do.

Okay, I have some missions, and this is what we do:

1. Investigate a Fallen distress signal coming from the House of Kings, which states that the Cabal are digging in to their scavenged technology to try and find a tactical advantage. The Cabal will have already found what they're looking for, but they will attempt to kill anyone who resists, and so we have to flush the Cabal out. This will occur over the duration of 6 missions, which I haven't gone over in full detail yet.

2. Next, the Hive on the Moon send an alert that they are being overtaken by Cabal forces looking for Hive magic. Eradicating the Cabal on the Moon will take 5 story missions.

3. Then, on Venus, the Vex send out a distress signal that their tech is being stolen by the Cabal; they will do so for 7 story missions, 2 of which takes the player back into the Vault of Glass.

4. Meanwhile on Mars, Cabal forces regather with all they have stolen, and then start to use them to expand their Exclusion Zone. For 1 story mission, we are then sent by the Vanguard to put an end to it, but they escape, and we are forced to retreat because they have driven us off.

5. Here's where we start to fight back. We visit places beyond the Solar System, visiting other worlds occupied by the Cabal, but I don't know where they are, and that's all I have right now...

Aside from a boss concept, that is. I'll post it on the General Discussion Forums soon.

I understand. In fact, I've created a boss concept for this very occasion; I might post it on the forums sometime later. He will be the main antagonist for the storyline; he will be met in several story missions, but we actually fight him in a raid.

Indeed. You have a good grasp of story.

Hmmm... well, since you all mentioned Jagi, I'll point out that Jagi himself may still be alive as evidenced in Ghost Fragment: Titan.

It could be that there is an imposter who is using his name, and it is Jagi sending you to go clear it and then you discover what this "other" Jagi wants -- he is a version of Jagi from a City in another timeline that has been destroyed by the Vex and has co-opted some Vex technology successfully reversed engineered in that timeline but they were unable to implement it, so Jagi used the Vex's machines to travel into this timeline -- perhaps running into the Exo Stranger along the way -- to give us this technology so we could do what they could not.

And then here's the kicker: this technology begins to pave the way for the City's downfall despite giving them an overwhelming advantage against the Vex, it was this technology that had caused that other City's downfall. A sort of "paradox" loop. And the Exo Stranger is working to stop that. What say you?

Aha. Well, I've a fanfiction account as you've no doubt seen by now, and while my mind tends to wander frequently, I don't see why not. However not count on me remembering overmuch. I've got a ton of other ideas in my head waiting to be written. For bouncing of ideas off of me, sure thing, I'd have something you can use.

Oh, and if you want to read any of my fanfics, the one I'd recommend you read is Deuterocanonical: Destroy Malevolence. I consider that one of my bests works to date, and since it is a crossover gone wild, expect to see Destiny stuff pop in further down the road.

Hahahaha... what?

You're welcome. And as for me, it may already be evident, but I've always wanted a Cabal-themed expansion. See, they've barely had any time in the spotlight.

The plot is interesting and unique; I like it. But I have a few suggestions:

1. When Jagi first introduces himself, he makes us do the challenge first and then he reveals himself.

2. He should then send us to Europa to stop the Vex from ressurecting Atheon before we get that special Vex technology.

Otherwise, it's a good idea.

A Vex-themed expansion would be great. We barely saw them since the Vault of Glass. It would be great to see them become relevant in PvE again, shredding Minotaurs and Hydras left and right; good times.

Uh... you didn't nothin' wrong, all you need to do is check the relevant pages. :) In this case, the Strike page, sine it has a list of where each Strike goes.

It belongs in the base game according to the Strike page.

It's called The Nexus. And it's not PlayStation exclusive.
