The Reef is a location in Destiny.
Trivia
- The Reef is depicted in concept art, as well as the Destiny PlayStation 4 Official Announcement[1] and Pathways Out Of Darkness ViDoc[2] as a debris field, located somewhere in the Solar System.
- According to Joseph Staten there is a mysterious entity, known as the Queen of the Reef, who provides players with missions, in the form of bounties.[3]
- There is an as-yet undisclosed location within The Reef that is inhabited by Fallen who, oddly enough, do not appear to exhibit hostility toward Guardians.[1][2]
- On Earth, shipwrecks often form artificial reefs, which then become home to a wide variety of life. A number of videos and pieces of concept art indicate that the same process is occurring within the debris field of the Reef[1][2].
