Shiro-4 participated in fighting back a [[Fallen]] assault on the [[Last City]] known as the [[Six Fronts|Battle of the Six Fronts]]. In the aftermath of the battle, a stone cairn was built to commemorate the dead just outside of the City. Unlike his mentor [[Cayde-6]], Shiro is much more no-nonsense and wastes little time joking around outside of occasional sarcasm. He also relies heavily on intel, while Cayde is known for his precise intuition. Though he respected the more experienced Guardians like Lord Saladin and would defer to their leadership, he was not completely subservient as he voiced the opinion that the House of Devils Fallen were the more immediate threat than SIVA, which turned out to be true when the Devil Splicers revealed themselves.

Though Shiro respected his mentor and mourned his death greatly, he joined the majority of Hunters in stating that he absolutely has no interest in taking Cayde's place in becoming the next Hunter Vanguard, though his Ghost believed he should.{{Citation needed}}
