Savathûn and the Ghost

From Destinypedia, the Destiny wiki

"Four stars out of five—if you're at all interested in experimental theatre, Guardians, or Hive, then make time in your schedule, bring tissues, and turn off your heavier thoughts for the night."
— Ken Yanagi

SAVATHÛN AND THE GHOST: A TALE OF CROSSED LINES AND FORBIDDEN LIGHT was a musical written by Didi that was performed by the Ghost Community Theater based off of Savathûn and her relationship with her Ghost, Immaru. It was performed at the Wei Ning Memorial Theater and ran for two months on a pay-what-you-can basis.[1]

Crew[edit]

  • Didi - playwright/songwriter
  • Pixie - ticket sales

The musical has regular casting substitutions as actors are relocated to field missions.

Reception[edit]

An article in the City Herald of an advanced preview of the show, written by Ken Yanagi, described it as "an ambitious performance that falls short in some aspects but shines brightly in others". The article notes the slight dependence on the understanding of the relationship between a Ghost and their Lightbearer that the average audience member may not find familiar, and that they shouldn't expect to see expensive sets or practical effects.
