Aegolius[edit]
File 1[edit]
The Lightbearer who was once next in line for Jolder's title of Iron Champion.
Aegolius's true name is unknown, but unsettling rumors about him have spread around town. Some claim the former candidate fell from grace and became a shameless murderer, while others claim he once tried to overthrow the Iron Lords' rule. Some even say he killed his own Ghost in a blasphemous renunciation of his connection to the Light. Nobody knows the validity of these rumors; what they do know is the title was almost within his reach.
File 2[edit]
The Lightbearer who was once next in line for Jolder's title of Iron Champion.
Rumor has it that Aegolius was the candidate Jolder was most satisfied with among her many apprentices. But while he possessed his master's confidence and courage, he lacked her resilience and tolerance. Jolder trusted him, cared for him, yet she started feeling he lacked that "little something" that would make him ready to take up her mantle. That small difference, and the anxious wait it fed upon, became a spectacle of doubt—one that, over time, festered into a devouring void, swallowing Aegolius's conviction, heroism, determination, and every other admirable quality he once held. Nobody knows what happened afterward. He disappeared, his name wiped from the records, with none of the Iron Lords—Jolder included—so much as mentioning him. It's as if he never existed.
Claire and Hubert[edit]
Estela's former adoptive brother and sister.
For as long as she can remember, Estela has been wandering, searching for a place to rest her weary feet. When her Ghost first revived her, her youthful appearance would sometimes cause her to be harassed, but more often than not, it would lead people to look after her.
Claire, Hubert, and their parents just so happened to be such people. They took Estela in and treated her as family. But the wish Estela made in her past life would still come back to haunt her. A flash flood swept everything away—Clair, Hubert, their parents, then entire village... Estela, revived by her Ghost, would be left as the lone survivor.
Elathi[edit]
A kindhearted hunter who was always extra patient with children.
Elathi was a huntress who swelled alone in the woods of Valencia, Spain. Proficient with both bows and rifles, she had much experience living in the wilderness, which naturally helped her survive in this chaotic world.
Unable to turn a blind eye to the line wanderer Estela, Elathi invited her into her home. Despite the Lightbearer's solitary nature and tendency to keep others at arm's length, Elathi still treated her with friendly enthusiasm. The show of companionship moves Estela, and the two became close friends—family, even.
However, Estela's curse would see ruin brought to all she holds dear, ultimately ending Elathi's life.
Svapna[edit]
File 1[edit]
A cruel, cunning, and cold Ahamkara, as well as Estela and Bréc's mutual enemy.
Bréc and Svapna were twin siblings. Despite both being typical Ahamkara, Svapna was far crueler and greedier than Bréc. When the besieged Bréc sought help from Svapna, she betrayed him by fulfilling a Warlords wish that a certain Ahamkara perish. Thus did Bréc meet his end, dying in resentment and hatred. Driven by intense obsession, part of his consciousness clung to his bones, which after many twists and turns, ended up in a coastal village in Old Spain. There, his bones became revered as a "holy artifact" that only the village's oracle, a young girl named Estela, could commune with.
File 2[edit]
A cruel, cunning, and cold Ahamkara, as well as Estela and Bréc's mutual enemy.
When Svapna realized a part of her deceased brother still lingered in this world, she tried once more to destroy Bréc by cruelly fulfilling Estela's wish—a wish "to end this life." A tsunami and ensuing flood destroyed the village and took everyone's lives with it. Estela was no exception. With her death, Bréc's power also suffered a severe blow.
But the wish and its repercussions remain to this day. Whenever Estela settles down and prepares to live a stable life, disaster strikes, killing everyone around her.
Marco[edit]
A man who was both a friend and brother to Jaren; he died years ago at Maln's hand.
When Jaren was newly risen as a Lightbearer, it was Marco who helped him get his footing and patiently taught him how to fight. Jaren had thought they would always travel together, but a despicable betrayal would put an end to those days. By the time Jaren arrived, he was too late. All he could bring back at that point was Marco's hand cannon, "Vows."
