Calus' Haunts
Calus' Haunts
Following the arrival of the Lucent Brood on Earth, Calus would return from hiding on the Leviathan, now twisted and infected by Egregore fungi, placing his ship near the Moon to gain control over The Lunar Pyramid in the name of The Witness. The House of Shadow, under the instructions of Nova, would operate alongside, but secretly with the Black Legion to gain information on this event. With few Shadows scouts infiltrating the derelict ship to get samples off of the egregore, however, those who entered would never returning from their findings, raising concern from both the Shadow leadership and Sumeragi itself as well.

Pirate's Plunder
Seeing heightened activity among the fabled old crews, naturally, the House of Shadow would take great interest in their operations and would begin the active crews or would disguise themselves as participating pirates, in tandem with Black Legion forces. Distressingly, they would discover that Eramis has returned after years of being trapped in Stasis and was in search of mysterious reliquaries empowered by Darkness. Curious about the importance of the relics and in an effort to deny their enemies control over them for whatever they plan, the undercover "pirates" of the joint coalition between the House of Shadow and Black Legion attempted to wrest control over these artifacts under the pretense that they were attempting to collect a greater bounty in an effort to study them. Despite their numerous attempts to seize control over them, the only one they managed to get their hands on, from Val'aug, the Brute after being convinced by Black Legion forces through obligation to borrow it, was claimed by the Guardians in an attack on their lairs. Nevertheless, Sumeragi researchers, as well as intelligence from spies in the House of Light, would discover that the relics belonged to Nezarec, a long dead disciple of the Witness. Though the spies would confirm that the reliquaries were turned into a remedial formula for a now lightless Osiris, Nova would become unsettled as to how Eramis mysteriously returned and the mysterious objective of recovering these ancient reliquaries. Regardless, the House of Shadows would lose a considerable amount of their infiltration forces during the numerous Ketchcrash operations.
Seraph's Rise
After the numerous losses taken during the events of the Season of Plunder, the House of Shadow would go to ground and attempt to stay hidden, even with the tempting chance at pursuing Warmind technologies left behind by both Wrathborn and Guardian operations. However, in the final weeks of the conflict, as Eramis attempted to destroy the Traveler with the restored WarSat network, jumping at the opportunity to fulfill their master's objective, House of Shadow infiltrators would attempt to sabotage the coalition's attempt to protect the Traveler only to be denied as Rasputin's sacrifice would fracture it entirely.
Great Machine's Fall
After years of anticipation, the Witness and its forces would finally bring war to the Traveler and begin committed operations against the Vanguard. While the Black Legion were preoccupied with deciphering what has happened with The Veil and what has happened to the Traveler following its scarring by the Witness, the House of Shadow would begin coopting Pyramid tech into their arsenal, granting their forces shield generators and suppression devices to further reinforce their dark arsenal. Nevertheless, the House of Shadow would remain underground and avoid much of the conflict, instead keeping a prying eye on Shadow Legion operations from their covert dens and begin experimenting with their new equipment, already creating a new division within the House of Shadows, the Tenebrous Claws. Despite the common goal of the destruction of the Traveler and the Light, Nova would insist that the Sumeragi would remain independent from the Witness' forces, distrustful of its intents and how it seeks to bring forth the Final Shape.

Command Structure
Unlike most Houses, the House of Shadow command structures is designed to be versatile in many areas. Some units has been Spliced but only one type due to the amount of SIVA tech the Splicer can produce. However, with the powers of Stasis being added to the House of Shadow, the group created a new branch, the Ice Wraith. Also following the discovery of the Deep Stone Crypt, a new division would be created from prestigious Fallen troops who took it upon themselves to upload their consciousnesses into enhanced Exo bodies, the Exo Wrath. In addition, after experimenting with Shadow Legion techs, they have made an new division called Tenebrous Claws.

Many agents would even go as far as sabotaging the champions' goals such as preventing the discover of the Deep Stone Crypt, bricking Vex tech and sabotaging Hive cleansing operations to keep these champions from ascending. However, the Legion would also experience losses in the form of desertion from Psions for the mysterious Conclave, from which, on one hand, agents would procure repurposed light-suppression devices for the Legion's scientists and engineers to mass produce while they reconsolidated their forces. During this time, the Legion would also deploy agents and field researchers to investigate the Glykon Volatus to experiment on the mysterious growths aboard the ship.
With morale within the Black Legion at an all-time low and the arrival of the Caiatl and her fleet would tempt many Legionaries to desert to the Imperial Cabal. However, many loyalists within the legion would infiltrate Caiatl's forces, as well as the forces of those vying for power within her War Council, granting their forces inside intelligence into her plans. Many agents would even go as far as sabotaging the champions' goals such as preventing the discover of the Deep Stone Crypt, bricking Vex tech and sabotaging Hive cleansing operations to keep these champions from ascending. ====The False Night====
The False Night
Despite the strong temptation to attack an Endless Night weakened Last City, the Black Legion would resist this urge in fear of retribution from Caiatl's vast forces with a loose, yet honorable alliance with their enemies. After the substantial damage taken during the Sumeragi's assault on the Guardians and their minuscule influence over the events of Quria's plague on the Last City, the Black Legion would almost be entirely left out of the conflict. On the other hand, they would occupy themselves with research on their findings within the Glykon and the light-suppression devices learned from their prior conflict.

Caiatl's War
Caiatl's War
Despite their rather patriotic duty to their people as a whole, the Black Legion would remain impartial to Caiatl's efforts against Xivu Arath's forces crowding the edges of Sol, where the hope is that the two sides will soften each other enough to the point where their destruction would be achievable with what remains of Sumeragi. Meanwhile, Psion infiltrators within the Dreaming City would attempt to get a read on the scope of the operations enacted by both the Awoken and Guardians and Xivu Arath's dark forces, as well as understand the technology used to infiltrate Ley Lines. Regardless, the Legion's influence on the War between Queens would be inconsiderable to say the least.

Regardless, the Legion's influence on the War between Queens would be inconsiderable to say the least.
The Great Deception and the Clash of Light
While the Black Legion would be powerless to assist the Cult of the Darkness in their research and espionage on and the Lucent Brood, the Black Legion would become involved in the joint coalition between the Vanguard and the Imperial Cabal. Following the discovery of Savathûn's plan and contingency, the Shadow Legion would stand by and wait for the Traveler to be scooped up by the Lucent Brood and assault the Guardians while they were weakened. But as they soon learned of the contingency, they allowed the forces to soften each other and even had their infiltrators turn on their Guardian "allies" to sow discord within the alliance. However, with the propaganda broadcasts of Yirix and her allegiance to Calus, many Black Legion soldiers would desert to join their alliance; through which, many of the Sumeragi's technological accomplishments would be lost as more soldiers desert to the new, rising legion.
An Emperor's Return
The recent arrival of the Leviathan over the Moon would catch the attention of the Black Legion, even encouraging more forces to desert to the new rising faction. Despite the rising desertion within their ranks, the Black Legion, along with their infiltrators, would begin investigating and researching the hulls of the ship in the same way they did with the Glykon Volatus in secret. While the goal was initially research at first for medicine and combat capabilities, an infuriated Xa'lus, disgruntled with the constant desertion, would instead task them with locating Calus in the hopes of hunting him down and assassinating him. However, the volume of Guardian forces and the Nightmares that haunt it's halls would make this endeavor difficult. Keeping an eye on the actions of the Guardians, however, the Primus would soon learn that the Guardian themselves, through the assistance of a dark ritual, would nearly intercept Calus before he disappeared into the service of the Witness. Enraged, Xa'lus would begin a furious crusade in search of Calus' whereabouts and would begin to muster his broken forces, poised to strike at the first mention of his newfound rival. Throughout the conflict, however, many of the Black Legion's psions would all begin to feel strange with the resurgence of the Nightmares aboard the Leviathan.
Spoils of Conflict
While much of the Black Legion hunted for Calus, word would get out about Eramis' revival, piquing the curiosity of much of the Sumeragi. Hearing of Eramis' bounty for ancient dark artifacts, some criminally savvy Black Legion commanders such as the gunrunner Brodsyd, mercenary psion Chantees, and thief Plundi'ir, would work with the House of Shadow to infiltrate the ranks of the old crews and intercept the ancient relics before they fall into the hands of the dark disciple. While Chantees would attempt to acquire a relic from a former associate, Val'aug, the Brute, the coalition would fail to acquire a relic from the Guardian forces and the Cabal pirates would be unknowingly killed in a Ketchcrash operation. As the psions within the legion would become increasingly distressed, Sumeragi's forces would soon learn that the relics housed body parts of the long dead disciple, Nezarec. In the end, the Black Legion would take decent losses from their pirate infiltrators.
Wrath of the Seraphs
With many losses and a commitment to hunt down Calus, the Black Legion would find little involvement with the Guardian's operations to restore the Warmind, even with the prospect of Rasputin's arsenal. The Black Legion would finally discover the sinister Shadow Legion but would find themselves radically outnumbered and outmatched by the powers of the Black Fleet, forcing a retreat and recuperation.
Defiance of the End
With the inevitable arrival of the Witness and Calus in tow, war would come to the active Traveler and, as a result, due to the Veil, Neptune. With the chaos of the war and the devastating defeat at the system's edge, Xa'lus had no choice but to trust his existing infiltrators from feeding him data and technologies. The Legion would begin to chart the doings of Calus' forces and would even begin coopting their technologies, along with the Neomuni. Following the Witness's empowerment by the Veil and sudden disappearance into the Veil, much of the Black Legion's forces would break into confusion and curiosity, seeking answers as to what happened and attempt to pursue, with all attempts ending in failure. Despite that, breakthroughs with Pyramid tech would give birth to the Shadow Hand subgroup within the Black Legion. Following the operation aboard the Essence, the Psion Flayer, Ilitcyl, would eventually slave mindless Tormentors the Black Legion captured to his will, creating his Malignancies and using them to solidify his position within the hierarchy of the Legion. Even with orders from Nova to refuse an alliance with the Witness, an initially ideal alliance, Xa'lus would finally be satisfied with a short-lived and admittedly petty vengeance against a charismatic Calus, who has stolen some of his esteemed forces. Unbeknownst to much of the Black Legion, however, one Val Paragun would become disillusioned with the Primus' costly crusade against the Last City and eager to return to the graces of the Cabal Empire, deserting to the Imperial Cabal with information on their arsenal and the rising threat of the resurgent Sumeragi.

Alongside the Vex of the Chaos Collective, the Corrupted would be among the first few to detect the presence of a Taken influence within the Vex Domain. Using the rifts torn open by their Fallen and Vex allies, the Corrupted would begin to explore and investigate the inscrutable Vex Domain, as well as cautiously and covertly establish vector points where the Vex and mysterious Taken invaders couldn't find. Eventually, the Corrupted would discover the presence to be Quria from House Shadow and Chaos Collective expeditionaries. The Cult suggested the subversion of the Dreaming Mind in the hopes of hijacking it's influence and seizing control of the Vex who fell under it's thrall. However, they would be too late when they would discover the Mind's destruction at the hands of the Guardians. Despite this loss, however, the Corrupted would take what remained of it's body, harvest what data remained within it's rift-severed head and create a shadowy likeness of it in it's material stead.

Some Shadow Guardians would become shocked at the discovery of the Endless Night looming over their source most of their lucent power. However, with the discovery of Lakshmi-2's broadcasts and the friction generated between the Fallen of the House of Light, some Shadow Guardians would body attempt to compound the issue by instigating as much anarchy as they could without getting caught by ambitious bounty hunters. Finally, when the friction finally gave and the factions began their coup, a few Shadow Guardians would join their assault on the Vanguard and House of Light, however, would instead find a problem on two fronts between the undivided Vex and the ecumenical alliance between Guardian and Fallen, forcing retreat. Despite this loss, the battle would serve as a learning experience for their forces, as they now realize the threat of a unified front of Vanguard, Fallen and Cabal. They surmised and broadcast to all Sumeragi forces that if they hope to achieve victory over the Traveler, they had to make their move and quickly.
