Reaping Recruitment is a mission in Pinnacle of Fear where the Guardian must stop a House of Fear envoy and his bodyguards from recruiting the House of Dusk by making them look weak
Objectives[edit]
This is WIP.
- Investigate Fallen movements
- Destroy the Hive and Fallen reinforcements.
- Attack King’s Watch
- Defeat the Mercenary
- Chase the Envoy
Transcript[edit]
- Eramis: Your target today is a Fallen messenger of the House of Fear named Ketiks.
- Mithrax: The House of Dusk in the Cosmodrome is hosting him at King's Watch, he's been putting them to work and the House has played along...for now.
- Eramis: This mission is different than the usual, Guardian. We need Ketiks alive and kicking.
(Mission begins)
- Skywatch, Cosmodrome
- Spawning in the Cosmodrome, The Guardian sees a battle between the House of Dusk and the Hive.
- Ghost: Mithrax, the House of Dusk are making a push against the Hive!
- Mithrax: Hm. Maybe the Envoy is collecting Hive technology for Xavias' plan? Take them out, just to be sure
- The Guardian eliminates the battling Fallen and Hive, and the Fallen retreat
- Ghost: Seems their Captain had orders on them. It's from Ketiks, they're collecting Hive technology. A few of them made it past us and pushed into the Jovian Complex.
- Eramis: It seems Xavias seeks to become an Ascended, like Hiraks at the Tangled Shore. Let's end their operations here, Guardian. We can't have Xavias becoming an immortal, can we?
- The Guardian pushes into the Jovian Complex and fights past battling Hive and Fallen, only to be confronted with Torrian, Mercenary. They defeat the Captain and collect a message from their corpse.
- Ghost: This Captain was guarding a Skiff before being deployed here...a Skiff belonging to the House of Fear envoy.
- Mithrax: If we don't destroy that Skiff, Ketiks could escape on it.
- Eramis: Let's really ruin his day, Guardian.
- The Guardian now must head to the Rocketyard where a House of Fear Skiff is landing outside.
- Eramis: Stay quiet, Guardian. Ketiks' signature is on that ship, don't spook them.
- The Guardian watches as Ketiks' ship deploys Ketiks alongside a squad of gray-armored mercenaries.
- Ghost: Those don't appear to be House of Fear troops.
- Mithrax: It appears Xavias contracted mercenaries. I'll run them through the database, see if I can find anything. For now, it seems that Ketiks is heading into King's Watch. Clear the area, take out that skiff.
- The Guardian takes out the House of Dusk troops and then two Mercenary Captains appear with Scorch Cannons alongside Vilos-3. The Guardian uses the Scorch Cannons to shoot down the Skiff.
