- "I have grasped that-which-could-not-be-simulated and broken beyond our limits. I AM VEX ASCENDANT!"
- — Ouranos
Ouranos, Prismatic Mind is a Vex Mind said to be one of the most powerful Minds ever created. Supposedly constructed in the distant past close to the creation of the Vex, Ouranos had moved into the Centuar Sedna at some point after the Collapse and began converting it into a Machine World. Following the death of the Witness, it would acquire an Echo; the Echo of Paracausality. With it, it would empower its Subtype with paracausal abilities and planned to bring it to the rest of the Vex to reshape the universe in their image.
Biography[edit]
- "YOU COMMAND NOTHING."
- — Ouranos, after Maya attempted to use it against the Guardian.
Ouranos was once a large Vex Mind of the Sol Collective dispatched to oversee the conversion of Sedna into a Machine World.
Two years after the death of the Witness and release of the Echoes into the system, the Guardians would track one of the few Echo wielders, Maya Sundaresh, to Sedna. After encountering several Vex blocking their way, including one with Solar powers, they cornered Maya in an alcove. She then called Ouranos to attack, but was instead shot in the back by a blast of Light from the colossal Hydra, knocking the Echo of Command off her. With Maya confused and enraged by this, Ouranos opened his eye to reveal the possession of an Echo of their own and told Maya that it and its Vex were not hers to command before using summoned light to seemingly destroy her. Ouranos would attempt to do the same to the Guardian, but they manage to escape back to the surface.
Gameplay[edit]
Trivia[edit]
- Ouranos is close to the size of Argos, Planetary Core, making him one of the biggest Vex encountered by Guardians.
- Ouranos is named after the figure from Greek Mythology of the same name, who was a primordial deity who represented the sky and gave birth to the Titans.
