Negation Minds are a hexad of Vex Hydras encountered during the Disharmony encounter within the Obsidian Acropolis, where they must be destroyed in order to complete the encounter.
Gameplay[edit]
Initially, the Hydras will be immune and passive at first, instead in a trance-like state. On occasion, with a roar and in a flurry of Vex energy, the Negation Minds will let out a pulse, killing any Guardian with the Marked for Negation debuff. While "passive" at first, after the Guardian has made headway in the encounter and charged an Arc core and subsequently destroyed a shielded Vex cube essential to their ritual, a Negation Mind will challenge the Guardians, with an additional one joining the fray with each destruction of a Vex cube: the second one resulting in two breaking free from their ritual to fight, and the third activating the last three. While lacking a rotating shield, the Negation Minds will simply act like normal boss Hydras, hosing into targets with powerful Aeon Maul blasts, and unleashing a Temporal Shockwave AoE against any nearby combatants. The encounter properly ends with the destruction of all 6 Negation Minds.
