Accipiters are small, autonomous drones first mass produced by the Neon Wraiths.
Overview[edit]
Realizing that their Battle Network is prone to gaps and the tedium of extensive and rigorous patrols in hostile terrain, the Neon Wraiths would develop Accipiter Drones to address these issues. Tied to the Battle Network and connected to a powerful artificial intelligence bank within layers of firewalls in the Cabal's intelligence network, these aerial units can relay reconnaissance data and respond to any hostile presence in an instant, as well as create comprehensive data for their mortal counterparts. Portable for the sizable Cabal mainline, these drones can be deployed in a plethora of ways, either by activating dormant ones and sending them upward or launching them from missile pods or dedicated nests deep within fortified territory. Those who have faced these superficially weak aerial drones know full well that their greatest strength lies in numbers, which the Cabal tend to have in spade when it comes to these cheap to make and versatile drones.
Gameplay[edit]
These units are a lot like Shanks in terms of gameplay, swift and weak aerial reconnaissance drones that lack of a precise damage point on them, although slightly more resilient than their Fallen counterparts. While weak alone, these units are often never by their lonesome, often coming in packs of four or more, with any fewer only showing up in scripted introductions or the two defensive units that flank an Optio. Sometimes, these units can be deployed by a member of a Cabal squad to create an additional target, and are more famously summoned by the aforementioned Optio engineer unit.
