The Essentia Coalescent is a type of Dire Ogre and Dire Thrall encountered aboard the Dreadnaught during the Nether activity.

Gameplay

The Essentia Coalescent are encountered in the Trenchway within the Dreadnaught where three Ogre variants are stationed around three large Blights. The Ogres spawn in sets of three and will each drop one Relic upon being slain. To eradicate the three Blights in the Trenchway, the fireteam must eliminate the Ogres to acquire these relics and hurl them into the Blights. Hurling three Relics into each Blight will result in the Taken substance dissipating. Should the fireteam fail to hurl an artifact at the Blight, a Taken Thrall variant of the enemy will materialize and can be simply slain to acquire another relic. Once all three of the Blights are destroyed the encounter is complete.
