The Hunter is a type of Guardian who uses stealth to kill his/her enemies. Hunters have access to a unique weapon called the "Fate of All Fools".

Trivia

• Destiny marks the third time a group of entities in a Bungie game has been named "Hunters", the other two being Halo and Marathon. It also marks the first time that Hunters is not an enemy species.
• The Hunter's special weapon, the Fate of All Fools, is likely named in reference to a scene from Marathon 2; after defeating his arch-nemesis Tycho over Lh'owon's moon, the AI Durandal uses his ship's weapons to carve a message onto the surface: "Fatum Iustum Stultorum." This is Latin for "the just fate of fools."
