Kazuto Kirigaya Biography

First Life

Born on October 7, 2008, Kazuto Kirigaya was adopted by his aunt and uncle a year after his birth when his biological parents died in an accident. Raised by his foster parents as a son, he originally trained with his cousin in the neighborhood kendo dojo under their grandfather's tutelage. Due to his aunt's influence as an editor for a computer systems magazine, Kazuto fell in love with computers and dropped kendo after two years of training causing Suguha to cover for him which he deeply regrets.

Entering the Shadows

Moments after finding out that the accident that killed his biological parents was, in fact, orchestrated by Oberon, Rosalia, Titan's Hand, Shouichi and Kyouji Shinkawa, Vassago Casals, Kuradeel, Laughing Coffin, Gabriel Miller, and a corrupted Suguha on Maleficent's orders that were sanctioned by Benjamin Florian, Evie Grimhilde, Emperor Calus, and Zavala, Kazuto and Asuna attempted to confront Suguha, but were severely damaged and on the verge of death.

Unbeknownst to Suguha, he encountered the Darkness, who had taken the form of his mother Aoi Narusaka and promised him that he can get his revenge on those who wronged him and that he would have everything he'd always wanted. Upon accepting it, Kazuto came back to life and, now fueled by hatred and darkness, brutally impaled his cousin, who was eventually struck dead by Asuna.

Some time after Suguha's death, Kazuto and Asuna, now immortal, went on to abandon their past, officially beginning their path to darkness.
