An Elite is a special-type of enemies, that are introduce in Destiny 2, they take over the spot of D1 Majors had, while the latter have become mini-bosses. Elites are usually distinctive from the rest of their fellow allies, by a either a white/silver colored armor, (example: the Honored Colossus and Resilient Captain has white or silver variantion to them), a secondary color of their faction. Or a unique item or abilities and durability, that they have.
