Bar-Zel, Tutelary of Savathûn is large Hive Knight of the Lucent Brood who serves as the boss of the Sepulcher Lost Sector in Savathûn's Throne World. His name is a reference to Mathew Barzal, hockey player for the New York Islanders.

Gameplay

Bar-Zel can be found at the end of the Sepulcher Lost Sector, which can be accessed via the Florescent Canal area. It is recommended that players have a Light level of at 1510 before they attempt this.

After you head through the Lost Sector and defeat the Lucent Hive throughout it, you will reach the final room, where a large group of Thrall can be found kneeling. Bar-Zel will then spawn alongside Lucent Swordbearers and a horde of Acolytes, more of which will spawn after enough have been killed. Bar-Zel will fire at the player with their Boomer while the reinforcements attempt to overwhelm the player. When the Tutelary of Savathûn has been killed, you will be granted the Lost Sector cache code, used to open the chest and claim your rewards.
