Aesop is a Vex Axis Mind mentioned in a Neomuni children's rhyme[1]. According to the rhyme, Aesop came to the ancestors of the Neomuni and offered them respite from the Vex, who had been covertly plaguing the nascent CloudArk with viruses, in exchange for their allegiance and servitude. The colonists refused, and in retaliation Aesop severed the connection of the colonists' children to the CloudArk, killing them. Aesop threatened to return one day, and the Neomuni have remained vigilant ever since.
