Wave Lens
From Destinypedia, the Destiny wiki
The Wave Lens is a powerful sub-group of Vex Hydras designed to investigate quantum entanglement[1] and protect Epoptes, Lord of Quanta from harm. They can only be destroyed by breaking their eyes and their elimination is necessary to destroy their commanding unit.[2]
Gameplay[edit]
Upon engaging Epoptes, Lord of Quanta, the Wave Lens will retreat and shortly thereafter appear in the right room of the Fallow Pavilion. The Wave Lens will engage any adversary with their Aeon Maul, and will call upon a wave of Harpies to support it. This Hydra must be destroyed, alongside its' compatriot Particle Lens, in order to acquire the Probabilistic Lancet buff needed to break Epoptes' shield. To do so, a player must distribute Choral energy with another and acquire the Cyclical Temporality buff and seek out the light generated by the Lens' shield in order to freeze the effect of the fatal Temporality debuff, see the eyes that Constant player needs to destroy, and destroy the eye called out by the Constant player. If the wrong eye is destroyed on this or the other Lens, they will both regenerate all of them. After enough time has elapsed or if a fourth eye is destroyed, Epoptes will begin its Broken by Quanta wipe mechanic, and both Lenses will join it. The Cyclical Player must destroy the eye not called out by their fellow Cyclical player FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF THE ENTRANCE TO THE ROOM in order to do their part to stop it. After reapplying their buff after the forestalled wipe, the Temporality players continue to destroy eyes until the Cyclical player can destroy the central eye and receive their Probabilistic Lancet buff and destroy one of Epoptes' shields.
