Guardians must defend the Warsat from enemies while it is scanned and [[transmat]]ted by a Ghost to the [[City]], where it can be carefully studied by the Cryptarchs.<ref name="Destiny"/>

To prevent their use against The Traveller, Rasputin sacrificed himself to destroy the Warsat network.
