"And my vanquisher will read that book, seeking the weapon, and they will come to understand me, where I have been and where I was going."

Start[edit]

Ikora's face is drawn, mouth set in a grim line. She launches into business without any preliminaries.

"I'm hearing reports from Savathûn's throne world that a party of Dread have infiltrated the ruins of Rhulk's Pyramid ship. They appear to be collaborating with Hive within the ship."

Ikora taps through reports on her pad.

"We don't know what they're doing there. We don't know why. And, Guardian, the Vanguard is not pleased that the Dread snuck into a guarded area behind our backs."

"I'm asking you to take in your fireteam. My agents will remain on the scene for backup, but you're the tip of our spear. We need you in there, doing what you do best. Find out what the Dread are doing―and take what countermeasures you find appropriate."

Enter the "Sundered Doctrine" dungeon and uncover the mysteries of Rhulk's Pyramid.

Step 1[edit]

Beat the "Sundered Doctrine" dungeon on any difficulty

  • Incomplete

Complete the "Sundered Doctrine" dungeon.

Step 2[edit]

Pick up the Hidden report on your findings and enter their proposed code into the Pyramid's machinery in their base camp.

  • Become initiated
  • Code entered

Ikora's Hidden have carefully studied the Guardian's findings from within the Pyramid. They've left a report for overview, along with a suggested trial of the machinery in their base camp.

"Is the trial safe? Not on your life. But I'm desperate to know. Aren't you?"
— Hidden Agent TRU-135

Step 3[edit]

Find Rhulk's experimental Hive worms, and hunt down a group of Dread studying the workings of the Pyramid to claim their knowledge.

With greater insight into its inner workings, more of the Pyramid may reveal itself to you…

  • Laboratory worms 0/3
  • Dread knowledge stolen

Search the Pyramid for Rhulk's experiments and for any Dread you can use to learn more about the Pyramid itself.

"Nothing I hate more than duplicating extant research. Figure out what the Dread know and the team will work from there."
— Hidden Agent TRU-135

Step 4[edit]

Complete the "Sundered Doctrine" dungeon to see if anything within the Pyramid has changed with your increased insight into its workings.

  • Incomplete

Explore the fullest depths of Rhulk's Pyramid and see if your actions have wrought any changes with it. Complete the Sundered Doctrine dungeon.

"Don't know yet what you did, but it was something. Never heard a noise like that before in my life."
— Hidden Agent TRU-135

Step 5[edit]

Wait for the Hidden researchers to complete their study of the information you brought them from inside the Pyramid.

  • Incomplete

The Hidden agents on the ground will call you in when their report is complete.

"We can't jump the gun on this one. Risks are too high."
— Hidden Agent TRU-135

Step 6[edit]

Pick up the latest Hidden report, find more of Rhulk's laboratory worms, and discover what the Hive are hiding in the depths of the Pyramid.

With greater insight to its inner workings, more of the Pyramid may reveal itself to you…

  • Become initiated
  • Labratory worms 3/6
  • Hive secrets discovered

After catching up on the research from Ikora's team of Hidden, you should be able to turn up more of the Pyramid's secrets.

"We're getting somewhere. Shake down the Hive and we'll see where else we can get."
— Hidden Agent TRU-135

Step 7[edit]

Complete the "Sundered Doctrine" dungeon to check on the status of the vault door.

  • Incomplete

Return to the depths of Rhulk's Pyramid and check on the vault door. Complete the Sundered Doctrine dungeon.

"Guardian, if you ever get tired of wetwork and want to try your hand at pure fieldwork, you call Chalco , yeah? She could make use of you."
— Hidden Agent TRU-135

Step 8[edit]

Wait for the Hidden researchers to complete their study of the information you brought them from inside the Pyramid.

  • Incomplete

The Hidden agents on the ground will call you in when their report is complete.

"I've pulled in a civilian linguist. Only fifty and she's better than any Lightbearer we've got, but she takes her time."
— Hidden Agent TRU-135

Step 9[edit]

Pick up the latest Hidden report, find more of Rhulk's laboratory worms, and use your knowledge to track down the Pyramid's auxiliary control chamber.

With greater insight into its inner workings, more of the Pyramid may reveal itself to you…

  • Become initiated
  • Labratory worms 6/9
  • Control chamber found

After combing through your findings, the Hidden believe that there is more knowledge to be gleaned from the Pyramid.

"Control mechanisms are scattered all round this ship. You'd have a hell of a time hijacking it even without the Hive to stop you."
— Hidden Agent TRU-135

Step 10[edit]

Return to Rhulk's vault and discover what is beyond its door. Complete the "Sundered Doctrine" dungeon.

  • Open the door

With the Pyramid responsive to your increasing knowledge, it may be possible to open the door in the depths of Rhulk's vaults.

"I'm spinning conjecture so fast my Ghost keeps threatening to tranq me. Yeah, Cowlick, I'm telling on you. To Ikora's Guardian!"
— Hidden Agent TRU-135

Step 11[edit]

Return to Ikora in the Bazaar for a debriefing.

  • Incomplete

Return to the depths of Rhulk's Pyramid and check on the vault door. Ikora would like to review your findings and her Hidden's research in the wake of your discoveries within Rhulk's Pyramid.

"Tell Ikora to tell Chalco to get me out of this swamp, will you?"
— Hidden Agent TRU-135

Transcript[edit]

Ikora, contemplating a report, looks up at the sound of your approach.

"There was an artifact of the Taken King himself at the center of Rhulk's vaults. The tool with which Oryx carved the Tablets of Ruin."

"Containment is key here. We cannot allow anyone into that vault. Not the Hive, not the Dread, and certainly not Savathûn herself."

"As dangerous as it is, there's power in it we may be able to use. Rhulk forged a connection between the Chisel and his own ship. Affecting the one may affect the other―or so my Hidden have suggested."

Ikora hands over the report she was studying.

"If you can glean anything else from Rhulk's Pyramid, do. And please be assured that nobody unauthorized will be getting in anytime soon: the Hidden are setting up a perimeter as we speak."

"Well done, Guardian. The Vanguard's faith in you has never yet been misplaced. And if I may say… thank you for coming home safe."

Her smile is one of warmth and relief―but most of all, of pride.
