| :I'd question this obviousness. Besides the more relevant fact that they keep appearing for people who have done King's Fall, Oryx is using the power of the Darkness to make the Taken. I think she says it when you come to the long bridge that leads into the boss chamber, but I'm not sure. As already noted in this article's intro, the Taken decay, but (like the zombies in The Walking Dead) they linger forever until they're killed. | ::I believe that any Taken with sufficient intelligence remaining can effectively assume control of the Taken, now that Oryx is gone. Why else would [[Malok, Pride of Oryx]] and [[Alak-Hul, the Darkblade]] pose such a significant threat to the Guardians? Though I believe only this is restricted to Taken [[Hive]] of sufficient age and power, otherwise one of those Zealots would be a threat also. The [[Cabal]] Taken would surely fit this role well, since they're the most organized militaries in the solar system. | The Nature of how the Witness took our planets are not properly described, the Macrocosm only acts as a catalogue of the worlds that the Witness took, the time wounds are described in the [[Osmiomancy Gloves]].
