Saladin[edit]
File 1[edit]
One of the Iron Lords' founders and the military leader of Veridia.
After joining hands with Felwinter to overthrow the notorious Warlord Citan, the Iron Lords began to rise in earnest. In the subsequent Iron Crusade, Saladin conquered the territories of several hostile Warlords including the Nile Delta and its surrounding area. During the Fallen invasion, he took the minor lord of Bayda-Benghazi, Finnala, as his "Iron Wolf" and began his rule over the region.
File 2[edit]
One of the Iron Lords' founders and the military leader of Veridia.
After teaming up with Wolf to rescue the miners captured by the Cabal, Saladin showed strong hostility towards Haven and Radegast—his old friend and brother under the Iron Banner—at the meeting in Veridia. This animosity has been building for a long time. Now, it's left Finnala no choice but to privately seek Haven's aid.
File 3[edit]
One of the Iron Lords' founders and the military leader of Veridia.
Saladin accused Radegast of betraying the oath he swore under the Iron Banner by killing their brother-in-arms, Gareth, to which Radegast pointed out that the late lord had already been corrupted by Ahamkara magic. Perhaps this is the root of the conflict between the two.
Harrow believes that Saladin himself has similarly sunk into the quagmire that is Ahamkara magic—she was the one who granted Saladin's wish to protect Veridia.
File 4[edit]
One of the Iron Lords' founders and the military leader of Veridia.
Once Harrow left, Saladin finally came to his senses and realized he'd been bewitched, which caused him to make arbitrary decisions that harmed those he led. He then personally contacted Haven and sought Radegast's aid, for "the Iron Lords stand together—always."
Harrow[edit]
File 1[edit]
President of the Veridian Union.
Harrow had already lived in Veridia for some time before becoming the union president. Once Gareth was overthrown, the residents of Veridia made plans to restore the trade union that had existed only nominally towards the end of the lord's rule. Due to her empathetic nature and willingness to listen, Harrow, who had always been adored by the townspeople, was elected as the new union president as a representative of the miners.
However, Harrow seemed unwilling to show herself in Veridia for the past few months, and nobody knows why...
File 2[edit]
President of the Veridian Union.
Harrow displayed some sort of special ability during the investigation of the Weathered Caves. She was seemingly able to sense the enemy's plans and react in advance—even if they were outside her field of view. Harrow explained it as an instinct acquired after fighting the Canal for so long.
File 3[edit]
President of the Veridian Union.
Harrow cracked the secret of the box at her residence in a secluded cave and took its contents away. She used it not only to open the sealed door inside the Weathered Caves, but also to activate and control a group of mechanical life forms driven by a hive mind and capable of traveling through time and space: the Vex. For some reason, Harrow believes these machines to be Veridia's only chance at ridding itself of the Cabal.
File 4[edit]
President of the Veridian Union.
Harrow is able to hear people's wishes, then these wishes become reality with unpredictable costs. The only way to prevent this is refusing to hear their wishes, which is why Harrow moved out of Veridia and into a secluded cave, where she attempts to further block the sounds with noise generators.
The strange box that she and Wolf discovered in the Weathered Caves was the result of Wolf's unexpected wish; while the Vex are indeed capable of defeating the Cabal, it comes at the cost of their invasion of Veridia.
File 5[edit]
President of the Veridian Union.
Harrow has always been troubled by a dream—a life and death battle between the Sentinel and the python in the waves of the Red Sea, who ultimately perished together and now stand as monuments in the Rift.
Harrow decided to answer the dream's call and travel alone to the depths of the Red Sea Rift to unravel the numerous mysteries plaguing her.
Shira[edit]
File 1[edit]
The current representative of the Veridian Union's miners.
An avid reader since childhood, Shira is incredibly knowledgeable. Although she's too physically weak to work in the mines, her interest in machinery led her to take on the task of maintaining their large machinery. She seizes every chance to expand her knowledge of machines, regardless of their origins.
File 2[edit]
The current representative of the Veridian Union's miners.
Shira said she has a way for us to gain the upper hand against the Cabal: plundering one of the Goliath Tanks and appoint a genius mechanic who previously came into contact with Cabal machinery while captive—that being herself—to drive it. No matter how imaginative or convoluted her ideas may be, Shira proved her expertise on the applications of machinery, both human and Cabal, during this operation.
Khalid[edit]
One of the Lightbearers under the Iron Banner who Saladin brought with him to Veridia.
As an intelligence officer under Saladin's command, he's responsible for compiling and analyzing intel collects by the militia. He provides not only support for the formulation of Saladin and Finnala's battle plans, but also guidance to all Lightbearers who come to the Red Sea Rift to confront the Cabal.
Khalid hasn't found his own Relic capable of channeling the Light yet and is thus rarely present on the battlefield, but his contributions to the battles in the Red Sea Rift are no less invaluable.
Azizah Hassan[edit]
Veridia's archivist.
Azizah has been in charge of Veridia's files and public records ever since Lord Gareth's rule. Being able to access classified documents has given her an understanding of the Red Sea Rift's unusual phenomena far surpassing that of other townspeople.
Kandak[edit]
A tyrannical Warlord of the Sahara.
Longtime ruler of the Sahara, Kandak, worried by Iron Lord Saladin's gradual rise in the Red Sea Rift, was the first to reach out to the central territory of Bayda-Benghazi, then ruled by Lady Finnala. He offered to send his men to defend the territory against other lords in exchange for regular offerings of their rations.
However, when the Fallen invaded Finnala's territory, Kandak declined to help on the grounds that their agreement didn't include threats from aliens. Ultimately, it was Saladin and his troops who saved Bayda-Benghazi from certain demise. This event led Finnala to side with Saladin, and it also spawned her hatred of Kandak.
Merlo[edit]
File 1[edit]
A helpless father who will do anything to get his missing daughter back.
Merlo is a mortal carpenter and an unremarkable resident of the Red Sea Rift. He once had a happy family and lived a simple yet satisfied life.
But when his wife passed in an accident, the family quickly collapsed. Merlo spent day after day sinking deeper into despair, neglecting his daughter in the process.
Now she has gone missing, and he is trying to find her. To the distraught Merlo, his daughter is the person he treasures most in this world. He would pay any price to get her back—even making a wish to a mysterious entity...
File 2[edit]
A helpless father who will do anything to get his missing daughter back.
His daughter made a wish to the so-called "Wish-Granter" hoping to bring her father out from the shadow of grief left by her mother's death. But the Ahamkara Zelpachad twisted this innocent wish, resulting in Merlo completely forgetting his beloved wife. Now, Zelpachad has also taken Nora.
Nora[edit]
A mortal girl who hopes her shattered family can be made while again.
Nora once had a happy family. She had kind and loving parents, as well as a best friend—a stuffed bear hand-sewn by her mother. But after her mother died in an accident, her father fell into a deep depression. Nora tried her best to help him emerge from the grief, but all of her attempts ended in failure.
One day, however, a magical creature calling itself the "Wish-Granter" found Nora and promised to turn her hopes into reality...
Bobak[edit]
File 1[edit]
An orphan who was taken in by a pair of Veridia's unemployed miners.
Bobak was an average street urchin—clever, mature for his age, and someone who had already "got his hands dirty," so to speak. When the miners who took him in were forced to make a living secretly mining and smuggling Radiancite, he used his youth to get involved, becoming his uncles' liaison, salesperson, and lookout.
File 2[edit]
An orphan who was taken in by a pair of Veridia's unemployed miners.
Bobak encountered Jaren while the latter was tracking down Maln. Hoping to save his trapped uncles, he became an important part of Jaren's plans to lure out Maln.
Maln[edit]
File 1[edit]
A Radiancite smuggler and "old friend" whom Jaren has traveled thousands of miles to kill personally.
Cunning and cruel—those are the only descriptions that could be coerced from the unemployed miners Maln has providing his stock.
File 2[edit]
A Radiancite smuggler and "old friend" whom Jaren has traveled thousands of miles to kill personally.
Maln is not just cunning and cruel—he's also incredibly cautious. In order to create an opportunity to meet him face-to-face, Jaren has prepared to have Bobak and his uncles bait him out with a Radiancite trade.
File 3[edit]
A Radiancite smuggler and "old friend" whom Jaren has traveled thousands of miles to kill personally.
Maln once traveled with Marco, and the two brought the newly revived Jaren with them as they wandered the Mojave Desert. This should have been a band of sworn brothers, yet ultimately, the trio fell apart due to betrayal, with Maln killing Marco and crushing his Ghost with his own two hands. Jaren resolved to avenge Marco, but Maln, knowing he was outmatched, always stayed hidden, with his tracks only occasionally showing up where seedy deals would take place. This went on until the present, with Jaren having finally tracked him down in the Red Sea Rift.
In order to create an opportunity to meet him face-to-face, Jaren has prepared to have Bobak and his uncles bait him out with a Radiancite trade.
