'''The Nephilim''' is a massive [[Hive]] [[Tomb Carrier]], which serves as a mobile base of operations for [[Forum:Shin'ra, the Sorrow-Maker|Shin'ra, the Sorrow-Maker]] during the events of [[Forum:Corruption's Insurgence|Corruption's Insurgence]]. ===Origin===

The origins of the Nephilim date back to the Hive's war against the [[Ammonite]]. After toppling the civilization, Shin'ra would use what remained of the [[Leviathan (Fundament)|Leviathan]] to craft what Xivu Arath described as a temple to the mastery of the [[Sword Logic]]. He would use the vessel to conquer the [[Forum:Nadheal|Nadheal]] and the [[Forum:Ussatan|Ussatan]] species at the behest of the [[The Witness|Witness]]'s demands to gather new Disciples. He would also craft what would be known as the [[Forum:Subjugated Vault|Subjugated Vault]] which would serve as a prison for the enemies of Shin'ra, training grounds for his own forces and weapons, and as a source for tribute for him to feed from. 

Despite his failure to bring back worthy candidates, the Witness would decree Shin'ra to continue the hunt for the Leviathans. Shin'ra and his [[Forum:Celebrant of Shin'ra|Celebrants]] would hunt down the Proto-[[Worm]]s across the universe, torture them, and use their dead corpses to further reinforce the Nephilim, increasing its size and power exponentially. Shin'ra would also mounted one of their vertebrae onto the front of the Nephilim to act as its primary weapon, which is capable of taking down entire fleets in a single shot, much like any other [[Tomb Carrier]]. 

Sometime after the fall of the [[Harmony]], Shin'ra would seek to construct a mighty vessel that outmatched the power of the Nephilim, which he would later call the [[Forun:Hadium Forge|Hadium Forge]] to serve as his command ship while disregarding the Nephilim as a meager prison ship. 

At an unknown point prior to the [[Collapse]], Shin'ra would be the caretaker of the [[The Veil|Veil]], an object of immense primordial Darkness and equal to the [[The Traveler|Traveler]]. When he had initially experimented with it, he unintentionally released [[Forum:Mallum, the Scarlet King|Mallum]] and his [[Forum:Tarnished|Tarnished]] into the universe. This incident likely led to the loss of the Hadium Forge and he would be forced to use the Nephilim as their prison to ensure that the primordial force would not spread any further and to keep them under quarantine. 

===Corruption's Insurgence===
When the Black Fleet initially arrived in Sol, Shin'ra was forced to withhold from invading it due to him unleashing the Tarnished. He would await within his ship as it accompanied the Black Fleet throughout the years of the Collapse until the awakening of the Traveler. When the Black Fleet began to emerge into the system, he would station the Nephilim at the edges of the Kuiper Belt to keep a distance from the forces of the Light and to [[Forum:Corruption (element)|corrupt]] the system from its edges.

==Design==
===Hull===
Unlike the Dreadnaught, the Nephilim's hull was carved from the corpses of [[Worm#Named Worms|Leviathans]]<ref group="note">Two of these Leviathans are named, Camuul and Xivo, both of which would have a Lost Sector named after them</ref>, that were hunted down and skinned of their chitin by Shin'ra who was assisted by his own Celebrants. Their bodies rewritten in Ascendant fabric and Hive arcana to reforge them into their new shape of the Nephilim. 

Its design is similar to that of other [[Tomb Carrier]]s<ref group="note">It is likely that the Nephilim is the progenitor from which Tomb Carriers are made from</ref>, bearing a massive hull that dwarfs the size of Cabal command vessels, bearing an onyx hue with green highlights and banners attached to it.

===Interior===
Some comparisons can be made between Oryx's Dreadnaught and the Nephilim for its gothic aesthetic, however the architecture within the Tomb Carrier seems to draw heavily or rather inspired the look for the Scarlet Keep and later on Savathûn's Lucent fortress. The color is that of a black and dark grays while banners of a light green hang from ceilings across the ship that bear the sigil of the Weavers. The barbaric look to the architecture proves how ancient and religious the Tomb Carrier is to the Weavers as it is seen as a massive holy site of worship to the Sorrow-Maker himself. 

===Propulsion===
The main form of propulsion comes from its central engine, which is powered exclusively by its Soulfire core. However this same core is what powers the entirety of the ship, from its weapons, cloaking and its engines. It is however entirely fortified by layered chitin, practically impenetrable by any known means, even [[Cabal]] munitions were noted to have no effect on its shielding. 

Another form of transport would be its ability to make "wounds" in space by opening rifts into the [[Ascendant Realm]]. The method for doing this would be a coven of Hive [[Wizards]] that Shin'ra employed to open these rifts and allow the Nephilim to travel vast distances, even one instance being from to Kuiper Belt, directly into the skies of the [[Dreaming City]] during the [[Forum:Golden War|Golden War]] and the Hive's invasion of the [[Last City]]. 

===Armament===
The main feature of the Nephilim is its massive cannon situated on its front bow which fires a devastating beam capable of wiping out entire fleets and quite possibly entire planets from existence.<ref group="note">While it is a common belief in Humanity and the Hive, it has never been truly proven that the Nephilim's main weapon is capable of destroying entire planets.</ref> The weapon is made from a Leviathan vertebrae covered in many runes that are meant to help channel the power that flows through the gun. Its power is funneled from the Nephilim's core and travels through the vertebrae and erupts and massive green of sickly green [[Soulfire]]. This is seen as a concentration of [[Forum:Corruption (element)|Corruption]] that tests the will and strength of whatever it is fired upon, but with all that it makes contact with, never survives the blast. 

It also possesses weapons that align the starboard and port side of the ship. They are linear motor devices that uses electromagnetic force to launch high-velocity projectiles, similar in aspect to a rail gun but they fire concentrated Soulfire. These weapons are also utilized within the Dreadnaught.  

===Cloak===
The Nephilim is unique as it possesses its own natural cloaking field. Virtually undetectable by scanners and the naked eye, the cloaking field is generated by internal systems within the ship. The field dissipates when someone or something comes into firing distance from it, allowing the Nephilim to make near perfect ambushes against enemies.

==Activities==
The Nephilim is a massive [[Destination]], containing many activities from story missions, dungeons and even takedowns, most of which take place deep within the heart of the Nephilim itself. While it doesn't have any new [[Public Event]]s, it does make up for it with the [[Forum:Corruption Insurgence (event)|Corruption Insurgence]] [[World Event]] and its 6-Player activities with the Pit of Decay and Takedown within the Nephilim.
