Bridge the Gate is a public event-style mission that serves as the final mission of the Veiled Threats Chapter. There are 7 tiers of increasing difficulty, and teams engage 3 final Tormentor bosses as a final tier, ending the mission.

History[edit]

  • Following the heroes' successes in their previous missions from slaying Nezarec, Rhulk, and many others. They now work with Thirhe to follow the Witness into the Pale Heart as the forces of the Witness attempt to stop them.

Objectives[edit]

  • Approach Nezarec's Body
  • Enter the portal to the Ritual Site
  • Place the Prismatic Heart into the Device when ready
    • Warning: Doing this will alert the Witness to your actions!

    • The Witness has been alerted to your actions, hold fast against the horde.
  • Umbral Ritualists are attacking
    • Stop the Umbral Ritualists from corrupting two of the pieces of the Device, which will stop the Ritual.
    • Summon Shriekers to remove Wizard Shields.
  • Gather provisions before the onslaught of combatants.
  • Repel the Onslaught
    • The Witness has been alerted to your actions, hold fast against the horde.
  • Umbral Ritualists are attacking
    • Stop the Umbral Ritualists from corrupting three of the pieces of the Device, which will stop the Ritual.
    • Summon Shriekers to remove Wizard Shields.
  • Gather provisions before the onslaught of combatants.
  • Repel the Onslaught
    • The Witness has been alerted to your actions, hold fast against the horde.
  • Umbral Ritualists are attacking
    • Stop the Umbral Ritualists from corrupting four of the pieces of the Device, which will stop the Ritual.
    • Summon Shriekers to remove Wizard Shields.
  • Gather provisions before the onslaught of combatants.
  • Repel the Onslaught
    • The Witness has been alerted to your actions, hold fast against the horde.
  • Umbral Ritualists are attacking
    • Stop the Umbral Ritualists from corrupting five of the pieces of the Device, which will stop the Ritual.
    • Summon Shriekers to remove Wizard Shields.
  • Alert: Ritual Under Threat
    • The Witness has sent a Taken Hydra to destroy you, so its efforts to stop the Ritual will no longer be stopped.
  • Gather provisions before the Final Assault of combatants.
  • Defeat the Blades of the Witness to end the assault.
    • The Witness has been alerted to your actions, it has sent its Blades to finish you once and for all. Hold Strong.
  • Complete the Ritual

Additional Objectives[edit]

  • Breach Detected!
    • A Boss has entered the Ritual Chamber, slay the Boss to re-secure the chamber.
    • Note: Phlithut and Deimos can handle everything easily but a Tormentor will occupy both of them. If they are fighting a Full Health Tormentor they will slay it in 3 Rounds without help.

Gameplay[edit]

The party must defeat every enemy that comes in a wave, each tier will send a Tormentor as the final wave boss. Defeating all bosses in a Tier will progress with a small breather before the next assault begins.

After killing 4 bosses, a pair of Taken Wizards will appear at a nearby altar and attempt to disrupt the ritual and are protected by immunity shields. A Hive Spell Circle will spawn upon party arrival that must be used to summon a Shrieker to attack the wizards to remove their shields.

Tier 4[edit]

Same as Tier 3 but its two Altars. One Starting point.

Tier 5[edit]

Same as Tier 4 but with three Altars. Two Starting points.

Tier 6[edit]

Same as Tier 5 but with four Altars. Three Starting points.

Tier 7[edit]

  • Wave 1 - Knight Onslaught
  • Wave 2 - Gatecrasher
  • Wave 3 - Final Boss
    • After defeating the Gatecrasher, the Blades of the Witness; Aeraziia, Blade of the Witness, Versaeniia, Blade of the Witness, and Yelixiia, Blade of the Witness drop their immunity and begin their assault alongside a final all-out assault. (Reinforcements will keep coming till the Tormentors are slain.)

Note[edit]

  • If a Tormentor gets inside the Ritual Chamber, Phlithut and Deimos will have to focus all attention on it, meaning they can't deal with another one or any enemies that enter risking Thirhe's safety.

Trivia[edit]

  • Above the mission area is a massive space battle in favor of the Shard Coalition. The enemy forces are losing badly.
  • Only the Gatecrasher and the Tormentor Bosses will target the heroes, as all others will prioritize the Orrery of The Wanderer Core
  • Thirhe's Orrery uses a familiar Artifact from Destiny 1, Prismatic Heart as its Core.
