==Gameplay==
===Dreaming City===
In the Dreaming City [[Patrol]] Zone, the Fanatic's Chosen can appear in all three areas—the [[Divalian Mists]], the [[The Strand|Strand]] and [[Rheasilvia]]—as [[High-Value Target]]s. Unlike those previously encountered, however, they appear as [[Ultra]]-class enemies, possessing a powerful stomp melee and considerably more health. When encountering them, they will continuously fire at the player while attempting to reach the despawn area. Like other Chieftains, they are capable of summoning [[Ether]] Totems. Depending on whether possess [[Arc]], [[Solar]] or [[Void]], they will use a Tether, Torch, or Shield totem respectively. Successfully killing one of the Chosen rewards the player with a chest full of loot.

===Resonant Destruction===
The Fanatic's Chosen will appear throughout the Resonant Destruction Public Event, specifically when it is active in the Quagmire area. They serve the same purpose as the [[Resonant Shepherd]]s in the [[Miasma]] and the [[Resonant Thief|Thieves]] in the [[Florescent Canal]]: to disrupt the progress of the [[Resonant Splinter|Splinter]]. When it has gotten far enough, the superweapon will be blocked by large, orange shield dome, where multiple Scorn will spawn, including one of the Chosen. In order to disable the barrier, participants must kill all of the enemies inside and destroy three [[Pyramid Spike]]s. Doing this will lower the shield, and you may continue to guide the Splinter to its destination. After you have gotten further, however, a second dome will spawn and the process will have to be repeated.

The Chosen that are encountered in the Event will appear exclusively as Solar-empowered Chieftains, wielding [[Scorn Blaster]]s and deploying [[Ether]]-Burn totems.

===Preservation===
The Chosen serve as the final bosses of the Preservation mission. After you have defeated all the enemies in the [[Acquisition]] section of the Pyramid, where the first encounter of the [[Vow of the Disciple]] [[Raid]] takes place, the large door on the far side will open. Three Fanatic's Chosen will be waiting for you in the next area, protected by hordes of Scorn, consisting of [[Wraith]]s, [[Lurker]]s, [[Raider]]s and [[Stasis Censer]] [[Ravager]]s. All three of the bosses are large Solar Chieftains, each equipped with Scorn Blasters and possessing significant amounts of health. They will stick to the far end of the arena, mostly allowing their reinforcements to deal with the player. The Scorn will spawn continuously and in large numbers until their leaders have been eliminated, and it is very easy to be overwhelm by them if you do not take them out quickly. Once the Chosen have all been killed, any remaining enemies will despawn and the mission will be complete.
