Each mission can be played on Normal and Legendary difficulties, where Legendary completion is required to earn the [[Exotic Catalyst]]. Regardless of difficulty every completion of a mission will reward the Exotic weapon pattern or an upgraded intrinsic trait for the weapon if it is already acquired. A guaranteed Deepsight seasonal weapon and an unacquired armor piece are rewarded on a weekly reward lockout based on the difficulty played, meaning they can only be acquired by playing each difficulty once each week.<ref name="twid23Aug8"/>
