PlayStation Network is the online network for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
Players playing on the PlayStation 4 console must have a Playstation Plus Subscription on their Playstation Network account in order to play online multiplayer features like Strikes, Raids, online Co-op and Crucible. The PlayStation 3 console doesn't require subscription to play online.[1]
