Echtar, Sword of Oryx is a Ascendant Hive Knight that appears as a boss during the Quest A Sword Reforged.[2] He is a confidante and a high ranking member in Oryx's court, and answers to him directly.[1]
Gameplay
Ecthar is encountered in The Asylum while on Patrol during the Quest A Sword Reforged, with Guardians attempting to draw out their Sword's full potential. He possess an invincible shield that can only be broken and taken down by the player's Sword, but while his shield is down he is vulnerable to all forms of damage. He is assisted by the Silent Brood along with the unique Cursed Thrall variant, the Dredge Exploder.[2] He can be identified by his glowing white shield and unique Cleaver.
