The eight hundred and ninety-one (typically rendered as the 891) were one of the two groups of firstborn Awoken to be reborn on the Distributary. Prior to their rebirth, the 891 were the crew of the Yang Liwei, a Colony ship outbound from the Sol system as part of the Exodus Program.
Trivia
- While the 891 originally made up the crew of the Yang Liwei, the Yang Liwei was stated to have had 900 crewmembers in total. This implies that nine of the Yang Liwei's crew were not reborn as Awoken with the rest of the 891. The significance of this is unknown, but may have some relation to the Nine.
