| Some time after the deaths of the superheroes, the Shadowkeepers went on to create Doomworld, the first of many dimensions forged within the heart of Aincrad's [[Ascendant realm]]; however, they would be challenged by a group of freedom fighters, led by a vigilante named Felicity Smoak, who sought to avenge their friends. Despite the freedom fighters' acts of bravery and courage, they would eventually be gunned down by the Ghosts of Nagasaki within Star City. Outnumbered and defenseless, Felicity attempted to sacrifice her life to prevent further harm from being done to the universe; however, it would be all for nothing as Kirito himself shot her in the head. Although no one knew exactly what happened since the death of Felicity, it was certain that the Shadowkeepers would somehow get everything they wanted. To this day, the Vanguard haven't yet found out about the exact fates of those killed by the Shadowkeepers, but consistent discoveries of the costumes and masks worn by the heroes indicate that the heroes were killed not just by swords and guns, but also by powers beyond understanding.

| Some time during the Shadowkeepers' invasion on the Solar System, the Reef would also come under attack by the House of Shadows. Fearing that Kirito's arrival would ignite a new rebellion unlike anything the Awoken had faced before, [[Mara Sov]] sent her guards out into the [[Jovians]] in an attempt to assassinate him; however, all of her guards would instead be slaughtered by Kotrik and his army of [[Queenbreakers]]. Angered by Kotrik's invasion on the Jovians, the Queen would call in her favor to the [[House of Judgment]] and the [[Queen's Wrath]]. Some time later, [[Variks, the Loyal|Variks]] dreamt of being in Auradon, in which the Shadowkeepers had succeeded in invading Auradon.
