Closing Time is an exotic Sniper Rifle in Destiny. It first made its appearance in the E3 2013 Demo, being owned by Jason Jones' Hunter.[1]
Trivia
When asked the weapon's name, Jones called it "Shut Up And Get Behind Me", which may have been a nod to a segment of the Halo: Combat Evolved level The Truth and Reconciliation, titled "Shut Up and Get Behind Me... Sir". In another demo, the Hunter's player (now female), named the weapon "Better Than Yours"[2], leading to speculation that neither is the actual name of the weapon. This theory is further reinforced by an image of the weapon being displayed outside of the Bungie E3 2013 event, which lists the weapon as an exotic Sniper Rifle called "Closing Time"[3]
