But once you beat him he infects himself with pure Taken energy so during [[King's Fall]] he's kinda half and half as seen during the part when you have the Brand of Immortality his face opens up into a singular eye that looks like a Taken eye and shoots bullets similar to giant [[Taken Acolyte|Acolyte's Eye]] blast and the Taken residue in his chest you see during damage phase. Plus in some concept art yes, Oryx was going to be taken in King's Fall. I would but a link here but I don't know how to do that so you're gonna have to take my word on it. (PS. Oryx wasn't going to look Taken, his red parts would've been purple and his brown parts would've been white and his eyes where gonna be white and he still and three of them but he was still part Taken.)
