The Xbox 360 is the second console of Xbox series, developed by Microsoft. The console opened the seventh generation of video game console. Announced on May 12, 2005, it appeared in stores on November 22 of the same year. Xbox 360 supported up to four players on one console, just like the original Xbox, but the new console brought an all new Xbox Live experience besides media center capabilities and other improvements. At E3 2010 Microsoft announced a redesigned Xbox 360, called Xbox 360 S: the new console was smaller and integrate a 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, a TOSLINK S/PDIF optical audio output, two more USB 2.0 ports and a Kinect-dedicated port. Moreover, the controller and the others accessories (headset, hard drive, Play and Charge Kit and more) were modified to follow the new design of Xbox S.
Its eighth generation successor was announced on May 21, 2013 as the Xbox One.
